Real-Life đ§ââď¸ Vampiress: âRed Algae Keep Me Youngâ
Before anyone calls me crazy and blows up my comment section, let me provide you with the facts. Then, if you donât agree 1 + 1 is 2, itâs not my problem. Youâre free to think whatever you want.
Haematococcus pluvialis is a red algae that lives in freshwater and for many years the scientists believed it should not be alive at all.
When directly exposed to the sun, the effect of UV-radiation almost entirely destroys them on a cellular levelâŚ
ButâŚ
Somehow, they manage to repair all that damageâŚ

Crazy Experiment: I Ate STYROFOAM And Got Fat (WTF?)
Did you ever wonder what would happen if you only ate styrofoam? Would you still be hungry?
If we ignore the part where youâd die, then yes, youâd be hungry.
Why?
Because youâre eating indigestible plastic, your body is not getting any calories or nutrients it needs.
Now⌠what would happen if we added some sugar?

My Dog Got Into Trouble With A Strange Creature
A few days ago, I (25F) took my dog (3F), Lucy, to a local park with a lake. Some friends joined us, and we were all having a great time.
Lucy was absolutely thrilled. Her favorite part was leaping into the lake and sipping water from it. She was hilarious, splashing around and trying to catch tiny fish.
Everything seemed fine, but a couple of days later, I started noticing something unusualâŚ

đ˛ âPine Tree Effectâ: Anti-Stress Pheromones That Calm You Down
I (25F) googled this as a joke, but apparently, pine woods create their own microclimate, and the air is filled with a pine-producing compound Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM).
(donât worry, I canât pronounce it either) đ
Whatâs important is that the relaxing feeling you experience when youâre close to the pine trees isnât because of the beautiful scenery. Instead, itâs the chemical (MSM) you inhale.

Our Ancestors Were Shredded & Hereâs What They Ate
Iâm an archeologist, but I wonât share my age and gender here (as people usually do) because this is a small scientific field, and Iâll probably be âfound outâ and fired.
Unfortunately, the scientific field is a lot less scientific than most people think. Just like it took 100+ years (and countless womenâs lives) to convince doctors to wash their hands. đ¤Żđą
Since I donât want to end up horrifically, as the first doctor who suggested hand washing, I want to stay anonymous.
But that being said, here is what I learnedâŚ
